Methane is an organic compound with a molecular formula of CH4 and a molecular weight of 16.043. Methane is the simplest organic matter and the hydrocarbon with the smallest carbon content (the largest hydrogen content). Chlorination of methane can produce mono-, di-, trichloromethane and carbon tetrachloride. Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. The storage temperature should not exceed 30°C. It should be stored separately from oxidants, etc., and should not be mixed. Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities.
